In-Depth: FINAL…
It’s time.
Five months have passed, and it’s time to show the world a little bit of myself.
It’s time to show the world what I love.
Whether it’s painting music, performing sculptors, drawing paintings, dancing ninja fight moves, or laughing your song out, TALONS is ready. We’ll take to that stage like nobody has done before.
Well, if I can get my confidence together.
As much as I tell myself I’m ready for this, and as much as I think I won’t chicken out last second, I’m going still a bit nervous. You know, just a little. Playing and singing a song and performing two short classical pieces is no biggie, right? The thing is, I haven’t actually sang in front of an audience solo (except when I was five for the play Annie), and I’ve never ever performed playing the guitar.
And yet, I’m still sticking with my plan.
I think the little part of me is waiting, and maybe even a little excited to take a chance. I love music, every part of it, and I feel like I owe to myself, to prove that I can do what I set out to do.
Five months ago, I wanted the guitar to be my outlet to play music whenever I wanted. My skills were not nearly sufficient enough; I knew about four chords. I wished that, by the end of it all, I’d be able to sing and strum and play songs.
This in-depth night, I’ll be telling myself that hey, maybe I can call myself a musician or even an artist. Maybe even write a song, in a few weeks, months, years. It’s all possible now, thanks to this project.
Who: Me, my sister, and my mentor
What: For the TALONS in-depth night, I’ll be performing pop-acoustic song (Wondering what the song is? It’s a surprise!), and two classical songs.
Where: On stage!
When: Later-ish in the program.
Why: TALONS ultimate SHOWCASE OF LEARNING
